Here at the Travis Family Farm, we often get asked the question, “how long does your soap last? There really isn’t any simple answer to this but to show the comparison of other soaps. If you have a scale from 1 to 10 and 1 being a softer bar and 10 being a hard bar, we are in the middle. A bar of Caress would be 1 and a bar like Ivory would be 10. This is because we refuse to use the harsh hardening compounds other commercial soaps use.

In our goat milk soaps, the only ingredients we use is goat’s milk, coconut oil, olive oil and soybean oil. These are soft, gentle, and completely natural, unlike other harsh cleansing oils. Goat’s milk along with using organic oils condition, moisturize, and rejuvenate the skin. Plus, they’re locally sourced. Happy skin, happy earth.

3 tips to making your goat milk soap last longer:

  • Opt for a washcloth instead of your hands. Washcloths have the ability to hold onto a lather better than our hands can, so it will stretch your soap that extra mile.
  • Be sure to store your soap on the opposite end of the showerhead, away from the steam, if possible.
  • The best thing you can do to increase the life of your soap? Let it breathe between showers. When soap stays mushy, it literally melts away! Our handmade, natural soap decks allow for air to dry your soap between washes. This will greatly increase the life of your soap.

For the rest of the month, we’re offering 25% off our old fashioned soap decks, made right here in North Scituate, Rhode Island. Pair it up with a bar of Rachyl’s famous goat milk soap, and you have the perfect gift! No coupon code needed.
